Hi, I’m Julia!
As a coach, I help neurodiverse women entrepreneurs, executives and senior leaders navigate challenges, work toward goals, build self-awareness, and co-create strategies for living and working better with ADHD. I have a passion for people and their whole, complex lives. As a person with ADHD myself, my greatest joy is providing space and supportive thought partnership for fellow neurodivergent folks, especially those diagnosed in adulthood. While I specialize in working with neurodivergent clients, my coaching practice welcomes and support folks of all identities. I coach with versatility, creativity, warmth, enthusiasm, humor, authenticity and curiosity.
Before coaching full time, I worked in director roles in leadership development, program management, design education, and organizational strategy. Having earned degrees in design, psychology, and a master's in counseling psychotherapy, and more than a decade in helping professions, including design education and clinical mental health counseling, my approach is informed by psychology, design thinking, neuroscience and cognition as they pertain to life and work.
I work with entrepreneurs, new and emerging leaders, managers, directors, and C-suite leaders for support to grow and develop professionally and personally. Many of my clients reach out with goals for making changes in their career journeys and/or professional identities. Others seek coaching as a way to enhance their own leadership and performance to better succeed on their current professional path. My clients are mostly mid-career professionals, from a range of professions, including mental health, education (K-12 and higher ed), veterinary and human medicine, research, attorneys, communication and marketing, graphic designers, UX/UI designers, architects, industrial designers, engineers, clergy, visual and performing arts, and non-profit leaders. In addition, I have experience and special expertise working with:
New/emerging leaders as well as experienced leaders facing new challenges
Entrepreneurs
Mid-career professionals looking to make changes in their career journeys and/or professional identities.
College students planning and preparing for the transition into a career (including undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students).
Having worked collaboratively in partnerships across many industries, I bring versatility, creativity, empathetic thought partnership, and a collaborative spirit to my work as a coach. My career path has been rich and diverse. In addition to having earned degrees in design and psychology and a master’s in counseling, I’m also a certified coach through the Coach Training Alliance (ICF Accredited), am a certified mental health first aid instructor, and am enrolled in ADDCA, the first and largest comprehensive ADHD Coach Training Program fully accredited by the ICF (Level 1 and 2) and PAAC (AACTP). I’m a member of the ADHD Coaches Organization (ACO), The ADHD Association (ADDA), the ICF Raleigh Area Chapter, and the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, and Leadership Raleigh Class 50. I’m currently pursuing ACC credentialing through ICF and CAPC credentialing through PAAC.
Though I support clients across the US and internationally through virtual sessions, my practice is based out of Raleigh, North Carolina where I live with my spouse, Kurt and our dog, Neighbor.
